Richard A. Long, the author of One More Time, is a cultural historian whose career has unfolded in a succession of colleges and universities, most recently Emory University, where he was Atticus Haygood Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies. He has taught, done research in, and written on topics in literature, music, visual art, and dance, as well as politics and language. Among his books are African Americans: A Portrait and The Black Tradition in American Dance. For the last few years he has been engaged in research on dance in Southeast Asia as well as on Orientalism in American dance. | ||||
